Magazine Cover Design
-Error Occurred.-
While in the middle of making, an error appeared in nowhere. Unlucky, I forgot to save.
I will redo another piece, but not same like this. But, I don't really mind, I am still learning and trying over and over. It's fine to me for an error occur, I may try new technique later. Somehow, this does not have a feeling of magazine.

Visual Communication - Week 02
Element of Art:
- dot
Example:
- dot
Example:
by Yayoi Kasuma
- line
Example:
by Bridget Rilely (Op art which produce an optical illusion)
-shape
or irregular shape, which cant be measured.
-form
-colour, black and white is not a colours, somebody said.
We can only certain colours when light reflect them to our eyes. If there's no light, we see nothing.(human)
-texture
A good design, it must have a texture. Texture is important for us to feel it, to touch it. Especially for visionless friends.
-Then, Implied texture.
The texture that you cannot feel it how it atually is.
Example, the drawing on above. It's a 3D drawing, that look very real but you cannot feel it is real.
Design for functions.
Artwork for feels. Hyped up for own self.
( But, I like both of them. What are character's design work for?)
Original Works are ABSOLUTE.
- claiming other people's work is just like commit a crime.
- rude to original
- rude to other artist
- rude to yourself
( I'm trying, but I never claim other's work.)
- rude to yourself
( I'm trying, but I never claim other's work.)
A GOOD designer,
- be proud of own original design
- never know to give up
- learn from mistake, refine and create a new way
( Though, I think I'm not yet, may be.)
Visual language ( A non-spoken language, that show a visual to express out feelings, voices, intentions )
&
Visual Perception ( don't understand )
are important.
Black and White are a very good combination for designs.
Impressive ideas/creative ordinary ideas + Target's needs + Concepts = Good Design.
Please correct me. Thank you.
Request for more information, some of them are missing and forgotten. Thank you for helping.

Beginning stage. Inspires. Influences.
At the beginning, I was trying to figure out what I like or LOVE to do again. Then, I decide go look into deviantart.com . At first glare, these attracted me.
Yes, I like character's design and to be specific. Japanese influenced character designs.

I inspired by Japanese Anime/Manga Drawing Style at the beginning that I changed my mind to join Art. But, that time I was struggled, do this hobby really 'SELL'? Do this really the thing I work on in order to get paid off? I was struggled so long and throughout so many times on research and stuffs. I finally made a decision, I don't need to worry about will I get paid or not, is on how I gonna get my own designs & artworks to get pay. So then I was trying to do some own character's design.
In the beginning, it does not turn out that kind of characters that I wanted. Instead, it turn out more worst than I expected. 'Apologies, no picture source.'. Later, I trying to do copy first in order to improve understanding of human figure(japanese animation character style) . So far, I was bound to just do copy(considered stillife drawing?) and never think about own ideas.
But now, I need to change my mindset. Start off everything with my own ideas. I found a japanese community(as the link above) that similar to deviantart(global) to get more references. I know there are so many websites out there, I need suggestions! (Characters design).
3D Characters.
Of course, I will not only planning on design just 2D characters. I want some 3Ds for selling to my favorite gaming and animation company.

1. If cool, it must to be very cool. (Mecha, Dragons, Monsters, Creatures or even combined)
2. Adorable monsters, animals, characters.
3. Different taste in Characters(priority = feminine). If you ask me why, my only answer = they are adorable to me. I have no further answers for you.
