Trying full drawing of アニメ/manga style character.

         Comic Fiesta Mascot - Mi's Combat Nurse Outfit. ( 2014 )
Description :  Cuppineko

So far, I like that I learned a lot during drawing this character. The progress may upload after then.

Final - 3ds Max Modeling and Rendering.

Mclaren P1 Car Modeling.

Progress:
I used the lines method for this car. I try this method for later convenient use to make sure I know the shape of this car.

First was the front lines of the car model according to the blueprints.

Middle lines.

Back Lines.

It was very tough just doing the lining job, it actually used more time than usual, but the lineworks just for my own guideline.

Top front lines and window lines.

Top back lines.

Finished lining.

Make sure tick all the setting under the Tool > Grip and Snap setting > Standard. Except Bounding box.

And NURBS setting.

And toggle the Snaps toggle on the top toolbar. ( Before Modeling )
For models snapping the lines you have made. Without them, the model does not follow the lines' snap.

I start the model with a single plane. And Extrude or Shift + Drag to create a bornet of the car.

Then the bottom of the bornet. To make it more curve some of the parts. I Extrude and Chamfer of the side of each shell.

Then, the Back shell.

Bottom of the back shell.

Middle shell of the car.

Top Shell of the car.

Behind mirror, the black mirror and hard shell mirror.

The pipe.

The glass back light.

And the front light.

Create a front tyre.

Mirror the front tyre and put it on the back

I mirror the whole part of the car to another side.

Added the material for the car. Metalic paint on the shell for both red and black shells, Tint black glasses on mirror, steel colour on the wheel's steel, Tyre remains, Front and black light was same. And Bacj Pipe was used silver steel.

Then, I learned how to put the light sources and camera. Top was using Kelvin degree celcius, both 2 left and right side of light source in front of a chamfer plane.

Adjust the camera.

Then F9, wait for render. Tada....
( Honestly, it became a toy car. )

My comments:
I have practice a lot times for different method on making the shell, It was failure a lot times at the beginning. So I remake a lot times already.

For the tyre, it was really awesome:

Too bad, I dont have any screenshot to show you. It was really great and I love my tyres I made.
For the Pratice assignments, I can tell you I was doing this car for the whole semester. My lecturer may know of it.

I learned that It was really tough to make a high poly car models, especially some smooth car like this.
I have no regret on doing just this for my final, it was fun. And I have learned a lot things. Extrude, Bewel, Chamfer, Lining, Lighting, Drag 1 by 1, actually can Soft Selection, but I don't know use it, Camera Angel, Rendering is so long for just 125 frames, Mirror, All are made by just single plane.

On material, I detach the parts so I can assign material accordingly.

Here to watch the ANIMATION.

There are a total of 3 different angles shot from the video. Three set of render files.

Recorrection:
Delete the other half of the car.

Select all the combined part, ungroup.

In order to remove material on the model, I type $.mat = null.

All parts' material have been removed.

Testing with material. I tested a lot time with metal, metalic paint and a lot kind of paint, which has glossy and shinny feels on the surface. This is the Matte.

Tick Direct Illum. , Still not match for what I wanted.

Tried Car Paint for RED base, light, reflect and etc with 0 flakes still does not match.

So then I decide to change colour to black & yellow.

Group them together

Then Mirror.

Final
Full body shot.
Front shot.
Butt shot.

Lesson learnt:
1. I shouldn't adjust the vertex in polygons manually, Should use mechanism that provided. For           Smooth Surface.
2. Doing Lining is too time-consuming, I should plan ahead. It does help a little bit though.

I have no regret on doing this Low-Poly Mclaren P1, I learnt a lot by doing this, learnt that I should do this but not that.

Lecturer helped me a lot but, when I go back the file is corrupted, I have no choice but to remember his way of doing. It was fun.

It takes approx. 5 days to render 3 angle shots with 125 frames each.
