Matte Drawing Practice 01

Buildings

1. Put background, Orange sky and destroyed lands. Here I desorted the Oranged sky for the perspective I wanted.

2. I want to give some more building in the front to be destroyed. I crop from certain photos and then eraser some part of the building to make it looks like destroyed. Then, I added a close-up shot landscape( debris ).

 3. After that, to fill up some spaces and make it more real of fall off of buildings duplicated some part and Inverted on the ground, and cropped some destroyed building on the floor.

 4. I use a darker colour and consistent brush to draw the shadowed building's steel. Taught by Sensei, I meant Mr Syafiq.

5. Add on buildings for looks like a bigger city.

6. Merge all the image together with dark colour brushes.

7. Use Yellow colour brushes draw on buildings to match the setting/sky.

8. While the light is behind the building, I adjust Exposture to make the infront buildings look darker.

9. Use purple colour brushes to paint on the yellow sky on the left side. To make it more dramatically.

10. Adjust exposture of some part of the sky darker.

11. Add in the alien ships. Duplicate and arrange.

12. Draw orange shadow with Multiply of the layer on the ships.

13. Highlight the ships of the orange sky by using Screen layer setting.

14.To make the ships look like live in this picture I added the white spread around the blue flame of the ship.

 15. Then using vivid light layer setting, I added the blue flames with brushes to be more obvious.


 And then, Tada... actually is not what I wanted...

Final Edited

I just added a destroyed part in the building of the front and Mosaic the Logo for not to misunderstanding the purpose.

I really would like to touch up more but... I don't know some of the techniques.
This is my college. I mean no offense, just for practice purposes.

Recorrection Progress.

I added a destroyed hole in the center of building.

Added destroyed windows in the windows, Fire marks.

Top of the windows. Crushed marks.

Added fire marks.

Overall, I added dark yellow painted on the building, and fire marks on the building. Then, some darker colour using soft dark colour spread brushes on the floor with the building.
