Final - Character Design

                                                    Ludshell - The Human-eating Bioweapon.
How's Ludshell begin born :
1. Mad Scientist made a chipset (x x x)
2. Throw the chipset to a place full of rubbish
3. All rubbish will gather around it by electric/magnetic force with some sort of energy ( Shock Shock, Bzz Bzz, Zssh, Zssh).
4. The first look of Ludshell is born. ( Zero Evolve )
1. Ludshell is 8 ft Tall ( which is almost double of average human's height) and 280 m long.
2. Behind of Ludshell is called butthole, sorry is one of the mouth of Ludshell, is mainly for Excrete wasted product compare to the front big mouth. It also can act as a weapon as well.
3. Inside shell of Ludshell, is totally empty and of course, smelly. Which enable to store few human bodies in each segment and toxic by dirty water.
4. The tougue of Ludshell can be called the life of Ludshell. Its weak point are the Chipset (Heart), Eyeballs, FIRE.

Ludshell - Lust for Knowledge in a Shell.
1. It is running on knowledge based system, at the moment of its first born, Ludshell knows nothing but will only charge into its desired ( brain ) to gain more and more, which made first born ludshell is totally vulnerable.
2. Ludshell, will not consume/ eat any of humans, it is only crush human into parts especially separate body and head parts, Head mostly is aim for the brain. Ludshell will store the bodies for enhance the hardness of shell after it knows to protect itself.
3. Corpses in Ludshell is decay-accelerated due to the toxic of the Ludshell, thats why brains and bodies can't last longer in Ludshell. It will just keep looking for them after being rotted.
4. The additional part like legs ( high-speed walking system ), Front legs ( Drill system, Jump system, Defense/Attack System) , Wings ( Flying System ) are gained after some certain amount of brain.
( Ludshell only can gain a little small part of knowledge from each brain and it rotted very quick. At first, is self-defense. )

CATERPILLAR

POP UP HEADS FROM WALL!





Progress :
The Initiate Sketch of Ludshell.
The idea was come from the shape of  fly, and I wanted to make a monster/ creature character. Then the pop-up of heads actually was from most of the game today, which have Terrifying heads (suffering feels of human ) come out from the wall.
Then, some creepy eyes come out from the tongue. And have a lot of legs. Plus, Wings.


 I used perspective for the mouth of Ludshell to look bigger, I wanna create a Depth for drawing.

Then, I draw some initiate shapes for Ludshell with a big circle and I changed the ludshell body shape from fly to a worm's long body.

 
I added some details in inner part and then write some guide lines for myself.

Draw a coming licky tongue.


Some additional parts for Ludshell. Plus, the pop out heads.

Some more extend legs 4 on the top of mouth, 4 on bottom, one on both each side and 3 legs on both side behind the mouth.
Then, 2 more on the tail. For grabbing purpose.

Added some eyeballs on the tongue, sketches Finished.

I draw a simple background for the depth I want.

Decide for the colour palate.
Base Colours.

Shading of the the legs and inner parts.

Shading the tongue with light colours. The body 2nd shading.

Then, added some light colour on the body and legs.

Hide the outline. And blended in the light and dark colour for all the base colour.

Base colour for the wings ( low oppacity ) and Eyes. Recorrect the light and shading of the base colour with added reflected light on each of the part. 
Reflected light was used a screen layer setting for the most time.
Some of the Shading was used Multiply layer setting.

Used Vivid layer setting and make the wings look like glowing.

Lighter colour on the wings ( Vivid light )

Upon finishing character.  Adjusted all the reflected light from the colour of the skin,sky,bg, wings. And adjusted the light on skin and some parts.

Adjusted somemore darker colours. To create the depth.

Put on Texture on the wings.

Redraw the sky/ bg.

Added some purple and orange colour on the sky for not so plain. And  draw the wall lining.

Redraw the wall lining.

Added some falling of stone on the wall the Ludshell stand.

Added clouds Recolour the sky.

Crushed marks on the wall.

Added some stars on the sky and light source on the wall.

Smashing effect.

More lines with Screen layer.

More lines with Luminosity layer.

Some curve lines from the effect,

Screen layer. Red colour on the Eyeballs.

Vivid layer. More vibrant on the red eyes.

Final.
This is my first attempt on drawing 3D character of my own.
Somehow, I feel like the whole pieces are not merge togther.
And the horrifying feel was gone......

- Ludshell the bioweapon climbing up onto the castle in the sky. -

Recorrection Progress.

I added shadow on the further behind of the mouth, bottom of the tongue and behind of the tongue.

Then, I realized I haven't put shadow on the teeth behind yet. So, I recorrect the shadows.

Darker on the body skin.

Darker on the head skin.

I used the screen setting make the holes in the head lighter a bit.

Vivid light, drag the red lines come out from the holes.

Overall.

Overall, I added more shadow on the skins.
